Volunteers provide love, reassurance, and caring to our homeless animals
through simple contact and handling. This helps maintain the vital animal-human
relationship. Additionally, if desired, trained volunteers can teach dogs basic
obedience commands and reinforce previous training that makes them more
appealing to prospective families.
Dogs older than six months of age love to be walked! Volunteers provide dogs
with needed breaks as well as an opportunity for housebroken dogs to maintain
their skills!
Volunteers promote and match animals with prospective owners. If you enjoy
marketing and have a knowledge of animals, many wonderful pets would benefit
from your expertise.
Volunteers can help our animals look their best with a simple bath and
grooming. The time for additional socialization is an added benefit.
The staff welcomes volunteers to assist them cleaning the kennels throughout
the day.
